What a wonderful wedding Daniel and Kelsey had. Although I wasn't there for much of it, I was immediately welcomed by family members and I could tell that it was a very meaningful wedding for all of their invited guests. With no bridal party we were able to spend hours doing portraits of just the two of them. I kept thinking to myself how strange it felt not having to work with a bridal party. Daniel + Kelsey are very down to earth and wanted very simple photographs, she didn't bring her bouquet and he took off his boutonniere. She wore no veil, but had a stunning hair piece made of feathers and pearls, and to top it off, bright pink nail polish. It was a beautiful ensemble.
Everyone was dreading rain but the sun was shining and it was a nice warm spring day. During their photos we frolicked through fields, walked amid stacks of red apple crates, sat pleasantly in church pews, worked with old walls, and played in puddles.
It's such a great honor to be a wedding photographer, getting to spend such special and unique moments with couples on such an important day. I find such joy in witnessing the love between two people. There's really nothing else like it.
So, here's a little tid-bit from Daniel+Kelsey's wedding day on April 3, 2011. I hope you enjoy them.
Congrats Daniel+Kelsey!
Dig the photos Megan. Great job!
